If it’s not just an everyday cold, flu or tummy bug, you need to tell us about it. So if you see a doctor, specialist, or any medical professional, for a change in your health before you go on holiday, email us at [email protected]…
What do I do if I get sick or injured overseas, but it's not really an emergency?
Get help from a medical facility, and make sure you get and keep copies of all medical records and expenses.
If your treatment is likely to cost more than $1,000, or get you admitted to hospital, then you need to contact us as soon as you can – or get someone to contact us on your behalf. You can call our emergency hotline to speak with one of our nurses, or if it’s easier – you can also email us with a number we can call you back on at [email protected].
The sooner we hear from you, the sooner we can help and support you. You may be feeling lucky it wasn’t a worse outcome, and not want to make a fuss – but that’s what we’re here for too. You deserve to know you have our support, and we might just be able to ease a few worries for you so you can focus on recovering quickly.
